WHAT IS HIT SONG?- REX OMAR

Veteran Ghanaian musician, Rex Owusu Marfo aka Rex Omar has disclosed that at this stage in his career,
he won’t bother his head over a hit song because he has had it all.

He told Andy Dosty in an interview that it’s young and up and coming artistes who need hit songs to remain relevant.

The Highlife great said:

“I’m no more interested in getting hit songs. I’ve grown and passed that stage. I now want a song that will grow beyond me, but if you are a young artiste, then you have to get a hit song in order to make your name in this industry and also make some good money.”

“I have nothing to prove to Ghanaians. I have done it all and Ghanaians themselves can testify and that’s why i still get shows to play. All i’m interested in now is to sustain my legacy, that’s all.”
